LIFE KIT contains Firebane, an aqueous-based class A, B and D rated fire-extinguishing agent that has proven effective in many scenarios and is more effective than water in extinguishing lithium battery fires in portable electronic devices. The patented formula allows the liquid to cool more effectively than water or other non-alcoholic liquids. LIFE Kits paired with the Aircare FireSock provide the most effective solution for inflight battery fires. Firebane is environmentally friendly, as it contains no fluorocarbons, like halon, that can create dangerous toxic off-gassing. Firebane complies with SAFO 09013, and AC120-80A, which describes the acceptable use of an “aqueous-based extinguishing agent”. This Cabin Life Kit comes with two 32oz bottles of Firebane.
